Golden keys cat quest 24/13/2023 You can hover over each power and it gives you a basic description of what it does. These were super easy to navigate and understand. There’s no way to know unless it is a bug and they send through a patch to fix it. I don’t think I opened all of the chests, so maybe the game will fully “complete” after that but I don’t want to spend my time just opening chests to find out. I thought I might have to complete all the dungeons and open all the golden chests before it would fully go away, but I did that and it still brings me back into the world, able to complete the final mission again. There’s still a blue exclamation mark in the final quest area, making it look like you still have a mission to do. I’m not sure if this is a bug, but when you complete the final story mission, it sends you back into the world. In my 15 hours of playtime, the game never crashed or glitched for me. Playability (10/10) Bugs/Glitches/Crashes This is, of course, a very general description of the overall message of the game and not exactly the story you follow directly in the game. The second installment generally follows the story of cats and dogs and how they learn to put their differences aside and get along. There were many times the game made me laugh or gasp in surprise. Though that’s not to say the story of Cat Quest II didn’t have its moments. Personally, I thought the story of the original Cat Quest was better only because it had a unique twist. The writing is full of cat puns, but I mean, who plays a Cat Quest game that doesn’t like cats enough to find the puns funny? The story itself was interesting enough to keep my attention throughout the game. You have the option of playing Solo or Co-op in Cat Quest II. It was repetitive, but that didn’t keep me from enjoying it and feeling accomplished every time I heard it. Every time you complete a dungeon, there’s this satisfactory and happy little tune that plays. I thought the music sounded triumphant and it fits with the overall mood of the game. I can’t wait to see what they do for Cat Quest III. It was nice to see more of the classic cat world of Felinguard but then also getting to explore a land that looked new and exciting. They added the Lupus Empire, which was kind of a desert-y looking area. It didn’t deviate too much from the first game, which is not a bad thing at all because the first game looked great. I love the animation style of the Cat Quest games. I found this game easy to finish in a few sittings because it was gripping and made me want to play for more than a couple of hours at a time. It only cost me $14.99 and the game took me roughly 15 hours to complete, so the game was definitely worth its value for me. Overall, this game was really fun to play. So it’s definitely an easier game to complete, but there were still moments in the game where you had to employ strategies to figure out how to best your enemy. I did almost make it through the entire game before realizing I never upgraded any of my powers. The game was challenging enough that there were a few times I had to fight an enemy multiple times before I could complete a dungeon or a quest. The Amazing Hawt Dog Sword Enjoyment (10/10): This game does have some hilariously unique weapons as well, like the The Hawt Dog sword and the Dumbbell weapon. I think having this skill would’ve made the game more enjoyable for me, but it still ranks as a highly enjoyable game for me. I miss the ability you had in the original Cat Quest that allowed you to fly across the landscape because it made you go faster and you could go over things instead of around them. Furry Shield: This spell places up a shield around both characters for a short period to minimize damage from enemies.Īll 12 powers you are able to equip throughout the game.Gravi-ruff: This spell creates a black hole that sucks enemies towards it for a short period of time this made fighting multiple enemies or holding a fast enemy in one place easier.I still love the classic Flamepurr power from the first game. 2: You can build up a mage-based character and a combat-based character.Ī lot of original powers from the first game were revamped and a lot of new powers made their debut.this makes the more difficult boss battles a little easier. 1: If you die as the dog, you come back as the cat and are able to revive the dog in case you die as the cat, etc.I loved being able to switch between the cat character and the dog character for two reasons: In this game, you have the option of playing as a dog or a cat in a tale of unexpected cooperation between the two breeds in the midst of a world that’s divided. In my final game review of Cat Quest II, I gave it a 9.2/10 because it was a refreshing addition to the series as a whole.
